Ear, Nose, Throat, & Plastic Surgery Associates Reviews
Dan K.
Absolutely the best experience to date with a health care provider (of any specialty) in Orlando. Appointment setting was perfect (especially considering my last minute needs), forms readily available on-line, reception and check-in was flawless, triage was professional and thorough, and the Doc was both personable and spot on in her service (Dr. Tran). Friendly, professional, thorough and efficient .... everything one could want from a provider. They earned the business of our entire family today...should the need ever arise again.

I have really enjoyed my visits with Dr Dobson. They facility at Winter Park is clean and nice. My biggest frustrations are with billing. First, good luck getting someone on the phone. Second, they want all payment in full. Its been hard for me to do this. Most recently they wanted $180 for a TELEVISIT! Ive had a couple other televisits with doctors during Covid. The most expensive one was $75 so this is unnerving. This is after I spent over $600 on allergy testing and simply for them to discuss my options (which I already know). These will also be expensive but they told me no other doctor will take my results from their allergy testing. So I feel stuck at this point. There needs to be better customer service here.

I've had a few problems with the front end of the shop. Testing and Doctors were frequently behind schedule. However the back end of the practice where the individual technicians or whatever their title is was always very cordial, attentive, and had much better time management. The only downside is the staff seemed to have a high turnover. I rarely had the same person for more than one visit. I would disregard the Medical and Testing side because the back office works great. Except for turnover, 5 Star.

I feel very confidant about any decisions over my treatment with Dr. Johnson and his staff. They are extremely patient and compassionate with answering any questions or concerns that myself or my family may have. The office staff always greets me with a smile when I arrive and after scheduling appointments.

I do much appreciate being able to televisit on my computer with Dr Tran. She took her time and ensured I got everything I needed. My prescription was sent in real time to my pharmacy as we were still speaking. This is why I love this practice!

Dr. Johnson performed oral surgery on 05/22/2020. Service has has been great. Staff coordinated with Advent Health to schedule X-rays and surgery. No problems with insurance either.

Dr. Tran is the quintessential ENT. Shes professional, personal, incisive, empathetic, analytical, funny, and just a genuinely good person; who evaluates the individual holistically to provide the care that addresses the root issue, not JUST the symptoms that accompany that primary irritant. Id recommend her to loved ones, acquaintances, and strangers.

This is an excellent, clean, courteous, professional practice. The office staff is friendly and the office is very clean. I am a patient of Dr. A. Patni, a neuro-ear surgeon and I am so grateful to have found him. He is exceptionally competant, courteous, and very gentle.

This office needs to get their stuff together and communicate among each other. My mom needs an ear drum replacement. We were told by her Medicare plan that this office is in network. So we called and got the referral sent over and got an appointment for today at 10:30. Well a couple days after we made the appointment, the doctors office called and said that they were cancelling her appointment because they do not take her insurance. Ok fine whatever. Well the next day my mom gets an email to confirm the appointment. So we called the doctors office to see what was going on. This time they said that they did take her insurance. So we went to the appointment today. We filled out all the paperwork both online and in the office. We waited for a hour in the waiting room, only to be called up to the front desk and be told that they do not accept her insurance. So we wasted 2 hours of our time for them to figure out which shoe goes on which foot. This is the second most unprofessional thing I have ever seen or heard from a doctor's office. How are you going to flip flop on whether you take an insurance or not? It seems like a pretty straightforward thing to me. Either you do or you don't. It's not calculus people. I would rate zero stars if I could. If you need a ENT, make sure you triple confirm that they take your insurance before you make an appointment.

I unfortunately suffer from tinnitus as lots of people do, but I wasnt entirely aware of it until I had come in. I had some issues with my referral with my health insurance which was a bit frustrating but the staff here made it super easy and took care of the problem for me. The receptionists are so sweet and friendly! They really do just want to help you out. The nurse that was taking all my information was also very friendly and easy to talk to. We cracked occasional jokes and laughed and it was overall a very pleasant experience. Then I finally saw the doctor! Doctor Baylor was so open to hear my issues and experiences and how Ive personally been trying to solve my issues. He eventually told me there unfortunately is no cure for tinnitus but I could treat it by avoiding various dietary things and even gave me a pamphlet on an app that provides frequencies that may diminish the ringing in my ears. He also gave me a lot of information on tinnitus and was overall very helpful. Ive had some bad experiences with doctors in the past months but this one was honestly amazing and left me feeling more informed and happy. Thank you guys for all you do!

Very professional, knowledgeable, and informative! Very friendly and compassionate. Lots of different services and equipment to meet all kinds of needs. It's like a one stop medical facility from diagnosis, hearing tests, CAT Scans, x-rays, simple surgeries, to treatments! Follow ups were great! All the insurance information was gathered and checked before/prior to procedures for any approvals and co-payments so we were all prepared. Can't say enough good things. Very happy for my husband to have received such great care from Dr. Jeffrey Baylor!

Dr. Baylor and his staff were very efficient, friendly and informative. My entire experience with this practice including my procedure, which I was very apprehensive about, was flawless. They set the proper expectations and I didnt have any surprises. I had a successful procedure to reduce the turbinates In my nose to eliminate chronic sinus infections from the blockage. The minimal recovery was exactly as described and 6 weeks later Im fully recovered with amazing results. Dr. Baylor was a pleasure to talk too and he was very attentive to my personal needs and seemed to have remembered all of my history from prior visits as if I was his only patient. I would also add that the office is very efficient, on time and had nearly no wait time unlike most practices. Highly recommended and thanks for improving my quality of life.

The problem I encountered with the practice was a strictly financial one. I am currently an engineering student at UCF, thus my budget is tight. I called ahead with my insurance information to check what my visit would cost. It was confirmed I was only to pay $35. Once my appointment was over however, they charged me a whopping $96. I told the employee at the desk that I was told the price would be roughly a third of what I was being charged. Long story short, after several days going back and forth with a defensive staff at Ear, Nose, Throat, & Plastic Surgery Associates and hours of talking to my insurance company, which confirmed I was only to be charged $35, I was refunded my money three weeks later. I must say that the employee in billing was a delight to talk to however. The issue I see with this is that if I were not as persistent as I was, they would not have refunded me the money. I perceive this as an untrustworthy practice and will not return.

I was referred to Dr. Brian Spector by another doctor who stated he was the best. After my visit and personal phone call from him, I can honestly state that he very well may be just that- the best. He took the time to explain to me my CD scan from 4 years ago that didnt mention a lipoma located in another area; which caused quite a bit of confusion. I was NEVER informed about that lipoma 4 years ago because I was a being treated for another location. However the office staff (Clay) to be exact was offensive, condescending and not caring at all. When a person goes to the doctor its to receive help, guidance, and concern regarding an issue with their body, not to be treated disrespectfully because they are under the impression from a different CD scan. Communication is always key and helpful not discord, listening is also a good attribute to have when dealing with a patient. I was so excited that I was able to see Dr. Spector and was looking forward to taking care of my situation with him; but Im not sure at this point. Im sure ENT and Plastic Surgery may be a practice filled with great doctors, but if your support staff are not reflective of this, then you will lose valuable patients. Im still considering Dr. Spector but I was really hurt and disappointed with how I was treated by the staff and the affiliated hospital-radiology dept at Advent Health, Winter Park location. Now the radiology dept at Advent Health is another story. Just terrible!!!

Never got there!I called first thing in the A.M. and when I told them they dropped the ball with the prescription, they got an attitude with me over their mistake....what kind of medical facility Does that?if you care about your child and want The best service PLEASE do not go here for anything..the DOCTOR needs to reevaluate his staff...worst experience I have ever had as far As doctors office.......stay away from here

As of lately Ive been having a difficult time finding doctors Im totally pleased with. When I met Dr Spector I knew right away he was the doctor for me. He listened to everything I had to say and I never felt like I was being rushed. I am happy I found him for my ENT care. His staff are all very pleasant and helpful which made me feel me very welcomed.

Im going with a two stars due to my experience with the office staff, particularly the ones who make the appointments. They seem to have an attitude and or no desire to do their job and schedule an appointment with a Dr. . Ive met nicer/friendlier employees at some of the worst Walmarts and McDonalds than at this practice. Im not asking for a Disney experience, but lose the why are you bothering me attitude. Really if they dont want to be there they should move on or find a different career ! The medical staff Ive encountered have been very helpful with my sinus issues. No complaints at all. I was referred by Advent Health, and I wish they would do quality checks on the service that is given by a providers staff.**No need to discuss any further, theres obviously a problem with your office staff, just fix it ! **

I've been visiting the Altamonte location for a number of years. As far as the PA goes that I see he's very nice and professional. They say their hours are until 5:00 p.m. but never answer the phone after 4:30, so why not use that as your closing time? Closing time is when the phone transfers to service! Not very professional.

Probably the worst most unprofessional office I have been to. When I called to make an appointment in March the front desk lady acted as if I had bothered her by calling. When I arrived to my appointment, once again the rude office ladies were at the front talking about patients. Specifically making fun of an individual who did not speak English well. When I went to visit the actual doctor (Jardidian), he looked at me said he saw a little inflammation and I was out in 15 minutes. He prescribed me a medication, but guess what...he never called it in!! When I called back to get the script called in, once again it was never done. After all of this I get a bill in the mail from my insurance company for $160+ for a tool he used in the 15 minutes I spent with him. Absolutely terrible place, I would not go back ever or recommend it. The only saving grace of this place was the lovely billing lady who was so polite and professional.

Disorganized Office - Look elsewhere. Staff is not well organized; causing delays in surgery. Needed to come in for another appointment due to staff miscommunication. Dr. notes as written lead my my insurance claim being denied. Suggest if you go here, that you are more than explicit on what you want the outcome to be and ask more questions than you need to of staff and the doctors. I do not recommend this facility should you be considering surgery. If they cannot get your appointments straight.... how will surgery and recovery be?

Dr. Tran has been wonderful. From the first day I met her, her professional and caring attitude impressed me. She identified my sinus problem and took me down a course of treatment which ultimately ended in sinus surgery. My surgery was a week ago and it was successful. I have not breathed or felt this well for 10 months. Dr. Tran has been highly professional, yet caring and always takes time to answer my questions. Thank you Dr. Tran!

My father is a retired US Army intelligence Colonel. I wanted to follow in his lead. When I was 18. I tried out for the Navy Seals Special Ops training. I did not make it because they said I might have a slight hearing impaired. That was okay. I went to college, got my degree in Microbiology. As soon as I did, I tried out for OCS training at the Naval Academy. My dream was to be an officer/ pilot but did not qualify because by this time I did have a hearing impairment. Recently, my impairment has been hindering my job performance at work and listening to my Mentally Retarded/ Schizophrenic brother to take care of his needs. Like most Americans, I cannot afford to pay the current going rate for health insurance. I try to take care of myself by eating right and exercise so I can avoid doctors. When I do go, I expect them to do their job. 2 months ago I call ENT office on Lake Underhill. Told them my situation. They were so nice on the phone when setting up my appt. On the day of, I forgot which one I made the appt. at and wound up going to the Winter Park one. They were so rude. I paid the 183 dol. fee to see the doctor. Let's call him Doctor J for the sake of not naming names. Took their test and he then told me that I had a hearing impairment'. He then scheduled me for a 300 dol. x-ray. It confirmed that I have a hearing impairment. They scheduled me to see Doctor P. Doctor P. Paid this fee. Doctor P, like Doctor J was very short and brief. For people that took the Hippocratic Oath they were not very good assuring a paying patient that I was okay or in good hands. I felt as if they were thinking more about their tee time than me as a patient. Well they did not assure me so I talked to their hearing aid specialist to go that route. She was very nice and informative. A day and half after the fitting, my ear started swelling up. Each day that progressed it swelled up more. I called the specialist and mentioned to mention it to her. No answer so I left a message. Did this for 5 days. Got a call back on the 7th day. I told her that she may have given me an ear infection because she was the last person that touched my ear. She said I always clean the equipment. She then said that I need to make an appointment to see their doctor about it. Wen to see my Primary Care Physician and he did not want to touch it. He said go back and see the person responsible and have them fix it. If they dont then come back to him. So I made another another appointment. Paid that fee. Before the appointment I was paranoid so I looked up the symptoms. Printed it out 1. Brought it with me to the appt. Doctor J glanced at it for a split second and dismissed it. He said that it was a cyst that was already there and was exacerbated by the hearing aid fitting. In my mind I am asking if It was already there, how come he did not notice the signs in the initial test 2 weeks prior. He then wrote me a scrib for a steroid and sent me on my way. I then went to my PCP and he said that it is not a cyst and gave me a scrib for antibiotics. So far I have paid almost a thousand dollars for them and tell me something I already know and walk out paying extra for infection that apparently/ supposedly always been there. Whatever happened to the Hippocratic Oath truly meaning something? I admit I have no life. I spend my days taking care of a mentally handicapped brother and working two full-time 40 hour / 12dol hour jobs. He barely took a 1-second look at it and then dismissed it. Instead of showing me one iota bit of remorse or empathy. He could have taken 2 minutes or 2 seconds to say Mr. Patient, I understand your concern but this is the reason why it's not the case. NO I WOULD NEVER refer anyone to these doctors!!!!! I work at a hotel and when I make a mistake, I OWN IT. For someone getting paid hundreds of dollars an hour, why cant they own their mistakes?

Not very happy with this place. My doctor (Dobson) was good, but I dont like the way this practice administratively operates. Communication is horrible; it has taken me forever to get someone on the phone to discuss anything, especially getting my medical records (which I still havent been able to talk to anyone about since Im always put on hold forever). They are not very clear about appointment scheduling either; I had no idea whether my next appointment was supposed to be a pre-surgery follow up or a surgery, and no one called me to schedule the next appointment even though I was told someone would follow up. Then I was billed even more in the mail than I initially paid the day of my appointment. Then I was notified by my insurance company that the surgeon they were going to use was going to operate in an out of network facility. None of this stuff was pointed out to me the day of my original appointment. Not very happy with these guys and strongly considering using alternatives - if I can get my medical records of course from my $400+ appointment so I dont have to blow that amount again with a new office.

I went there 2 months ago (Altamonte Apeings) after moving from Maryland because my old audiologist said they serviced brand of my hearing aids and they were associated with physicians. I felt like my one ear was blocked plus my hearing was definitely worse overall. They checked my ears and found wax in one but not in the one that felt blocked. They did not examine my hearing aids at all but merely changes the wax guards. They gave a hearing test and told me I had no high frequency hearing (I do have some at the highest range) but offered no advice on what was needed such as better hearing aids or a coxhlear implant (which my last audiologist said may be in my future).. They briefly mentioned I may want to speak to someone in another of their other offices but didn't say who. So all I got was a test and cleaning of one ear but I still have poor hearing so I am at a loss of what to do besides seeking another provider. I also received a bill with 4 entries including 2 I have no idea what they are. I cannot recommend going here based on my experience.

Dr. Tran is awesome. She explained everything that she was doing and even told me some trivia about the purple antibiotic she was putting in my ear. The front office and back office staff were very nice and did everything quickly and efficient. Working in the medical field I have high standards and I know what to look for over the common patient. This is a top notch practice!

From the first phone call to schedule an initial appointment, nothing but pleasant and helpful staff. Everyone has been very professional and courteous. When I explained my situation to the scheduler, she determined that I needed to get in to the soonest available appointment and had me in that same week. It took Jessica (Jessica E. Curley, PA-C) about 15 minutes to figure out what the issue was when my primary, multiple ER & minor emergency centers haven't been able to in 15 years. She recommended treatment and I saw improvement almost immediately. The issue is now well under control and my quality of life has improved tremendously. Jessica is my superhero! I will be forever grateful to her.
