I saw Dr. Thompson for basal cell cancer that was on my lip. It was on the lip line. In addition to removing the mass which was about the size of a pea, he also had to take additional tissue around it to insure it wouldn't come back. So I was expecting there would be an indent in my lip and was nervous about having a big scar on my face. The Dr. explained everything but I have to say I really didn't realize how complicated this surgery was and I am really glad I didn't know at the time! The pictures below are Day 1, Day 3, and Day 10. By day 10 you couldn't tell I had anything done! The Dr. told me it would take about 9 months to totally heal. It has been 5 months and I am absolutely thrilled. I am still amazed. Thank you Dr. Thompson!!

His work was amazing but I just got stitches removed & he let me walk out of there neglecting to mention I had yellow infection on 1 of the incision sites. A simple explanation of 'looks like there's a small infection, let me order you some different antibiotics than what I ordered post op' would have been the professional thing to do. All he did was put antibiotic ointment & band aids explaining that a couple of places bled when he removed the stitches. When I got home & removed the bandages I saw the infection & redness. Luckily I already had an appt w my primary today so I'll get proper care but very disappointed at the disregard on his part!

Dr. Thompson and his staff made my entire experience perfect. I did an extensive amount of research before choosing a surgery center. I was looking for a center that had ample experience with fat grafting to the breast. Even after my initial visit with Dr. Thompson, I continued to call with questions before setting a surgery date. The receptionist did an amazing job of answering my questions as well as having the facility director follow up with me. On the day of my surgery, my husband went with me and was allowed to ask questions prior to me being prepped for surgery. He said during the procedure they kept him informed of how things were going and what he could expect after the anesthetists wore off. I had a follow up visit 5 days post op. During this visit Dr. Thompson met with me and answered my many questions about recovery and things that I could expect in the days/weeks to come. After recovering for approximately one month I scheduled an appointment to have a 'ultrasound treatment'. I scheduled this appointment after Dr. Thompson recommended it to help with recover. This is a treatment offered at the center and was not an additional cost to me. I went for my 3 month postoperative appointment yesterday. Dr. Thompson again was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. He took postoperative measurements and discussed my results with me. I would highly recommend Genesis Plastic Surgery Center.
