I had to write this review because i was so satisfied with my visit with Dr. Churgin. She gave me and honest opinion in relation to my injury I got at work. She was kind, knowledgeable and professional. The waiting area is immaculately clean and comfortable environment. Her staff is flawless everyone of them. Most important she won't make you do a procedure that you don't need. I highly recommend her, shes a Dr. that loves her work. Shes a Dr. that cares about her patients, one of the last of that kind. I Dont even know where to start... Dr. Churgin has changed my life. I had gynecomastia surgery on my right pectoral muscle. I have been living with this thing for 4 years. I mean she was just amazing since my first visit to even after my surgery. Her office has such an amazing staff that really care and want to help. (Cathy, Frank, Melissa and Ann) they continue to call me after to check up, also were very flexible with my schedule to get me in for appointments and surgery. I cannot thank them and Dr. Churgin enough for everything. I would highly recommend her to to anyone that needs a plastic surgeon, she is truly amazing.

I work in the medical field. I know first hand that Doctors do not always tell the truth. I have friends that have had breast reductions by doctors that tell them , that there entire surgery will be covered by insurance. However after the surgery, they received a huge bill. Apparently the Doctors office did not get authorization and consent to do their surgery. So I was very skeptical about going out of network to a Doctor that does not participate in my Insurance. In my search for a good Doctor, a friend of mine recommended me to Doctor Churgin. From the moment I called Doctor Churgins office I was told by the office administrator that since I am out of network I should come in and see Doctor Churgin and Doctor Churgin will accept whatever the Insurance company pays. Doctor Churgin and her staff were extremely professional. Kind and considerate of my feelings. I had many questions before my surgery and they were thoroughly explained to me and it gave me a comfort level and piece of mind. I want to stress that my authorization and consent in writing was obtained so quickly that I could not believe it. Everything the administrator , Doctor Churgin, the medical assistant and her wonderful staff told me was accurate, honest and truthful. I am extremely satisfied with my Breast reduction surgery. Doctor Churgin and her staff are amazing , awesome, knowledgeable and welcoming. You can ask Doctor Churgin and her staff all your concerns and they will happily answer everything for you. I saved the best for Last, I get a year of aftercare for free! No charge for visits for a year! I highly recommend Doctor Churgin and her staff!

Dr. Churgin is AWESOME! Period! I ended up at her office after experiencing two terrible minor surgical procedures, two horrendous scars and two terrible encounters with surgeons. She is one of VERY FEW surgeons who is actually Board Certified on Long Island. Her staff is on point and calls when they say they will. Every appointment I had, I went straight in, never waiting in a packed waiting room. When I first met Dr. Churgin, she was extremely friendly and personable. She took the time to listen to my nightmare and explained things that my other doctors never had. For the first time I finally felt comfortable and at ease in a surgeons office. As for my surgery, I could not be happier. My last two surgeries left me with keloidic scarring and nerve damage. The surgery Dr. Churgin performed barely left a mark! I wish I found her earlier, but Im so glad my trip down surgery road, led me to her office in the end! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!

I had a cyst removed from the back of my head. This was my second time going through this process so I knew what to expect but Dr Churgin did an excellent job. Two days after surgery the cut was not even noticeable. The previous time I had this surgery I had a large swollen cut for almost 2 weeks. I highly recommend her!

I had been considering breast reduction for years but resolved to seriously do it this year. I found Dr. Churgin online and chose her based on her spectacular reviews. Let me tell you she definitely lives up to them. Dr. Churgin and her staff went above and beyond to walk me through the process as well as make me feel comfortable. I had my surgery in May and she did a fantastic job. I was also able to call her personally with any issues that arose post-op which made me feel much more at ease. For several years, I have not only suffered with chronic back pain, but also gender dysphoria that has lead to a seemingly unbeatable depression. Because of this, it affected my mental and physical health to the point where I could barely function in society. This was especially due to having very enlarged breasts. I remember both my therapist and my grandfather recommending me to Dr. Samara Churgin, and discovering that she was one of the most highly rated surgeons in New York. And so far, those reviews were absolutely correct. At my first consultation with Dr. Churgin, which was over a year ago, I was terrified of getting denied care based on my gender identity. So at first, I pitched that I wanted a partial mastectomy. However, she was quick to realize how hesitant I was while explaining that, and offered if a full mastectomy was what I wanted. Being the operation that I have been looking for so long, her absolute kindness and acceptance, complimented with her unanimously positive reviews; I knew I had picked the right surgeon. The same day, I was delighted to hear that my insurance company had recently allowed surgeries for transgender patients to be covered. Ever since then, Dr. Churgin and her staff have been working persistently hard in keeping contact with my insurance company to make sure it was doing exactly what they were supposed to be doing. I could not thank them enough for their overwhelming support thus far. Now my full mastectomy is to take place on July 24th, and I have nothing but high hopes for how it will go. If anyone is in search of a professional surgeon that is both overly welcoming and supportive, I would definitely recommend contacting Dr. Churgin.

*Edit!: 3 months post op and I'm feeling great! No pain, no complications!! My original post is right down below:To those I'm honored to read my story below, thank you! And for fellow guys out there with concerns, I urge you to take a look. I've had the condition gynocomastia grade 4 for as long as I can remember, and the impact it does to ones self esteem growing up is downright brutal. Fear of playing sports, gyms, friend circles, even deciding on what to wear daily for fear of ridicule and judgement (I even avoided highschool prom and dances because of it). Not to mention the strain the size of the breast tissue has on you when you DO try to hide and manage it (Trust me, I tried the mile, two words, gravity sucks). One day, I felt I needed to take action, and on a whim, I was researching that very few insurances and doctors would perform the surgery I've always wanted to at least try and see what could happen. Dr. Churgin was phenomenal! The staff make you feel like an actual person rather than a number with having a friendly environment! Not only did I get an amazing result (honest 10/10) she worked with me and went out of her way to try and get the insurance to approve it! I didnt pay a dime! All I say is take the chance for a consultation, you may be surprised at the results of what she can try to do for you!If you're still skeptical, ask her for my before and after! Doctor Churgin Is a great doctor. I originally went to a hospital in the city but I needed additional care and went to Good Samaritan hospital. I was referred to doctor Churgin by one of the nurses in the emergency room. Doctor Churgin took care of my intense crushing injury. The staff at her office worked well with my workers compensation insurance company to make sure the visits would be covered. All of my questions regarding my injury were able to be answered by Doctor Churgin.

Unprofessional office! They put a lien on my settlement because no-fault didn't pay them the full fee they expected. If they accept no-fault, they are legally obligated to accept whatever payment no-fault gives them. I've never even received a call from them about this, they just went ahead with the lien, very slimy, they hope most people won't notice and won't fight it.

I dont even know where to begin.... I am 18 years old and its been a huge desire for me to get a breast reduction. At such a young age I was incredibly uncomfortable with my breast. My bra size was a G cup. I began the process about a year ago with going to physical therapy for my back and dermatology for the rashes under my breast. At the time my mom had NYC health insurance which was very good but we were unsatisfied with the doctor we were working it. Fast forward a year later we decided to go for it again and began our research. We found Dr. Churgin and within a few days of my initial contact I had my consult. I submitted what was asked and within a few days I was approved by my insurance 1199 for the surgery. My surgery was booked about 2 weeks after my approval. The time frame was not even a month from insurance approval to surgery. The office staff Kathy really works with you and stays on top and follows up. I did my pre surgical testing at Good Sam which was smooth and my medical clearance. Confirmed everything with Kathy and I was all set. On surgery day it was so smooth. Good sam staff was awesome from the time I arrived to the time of discharge. There is not one negative thing I can say. I was well prepared for my recovery. I have never felt so good. After my breast reduction I am 16 pounds lighter. I look totally different. I look much smaller. My back does not hurt, my breast arent sweating etc. My new breast are so perfect. I have an amazing lift. The size is all that I wanted and I feel I have a new body. It was worth the pain. I can finally wear tops that I want and live a normal life. Dr. Churgin is an amazing person. I am so impressed with her skill set. As a college student about to enter my freshman year, I am motivated by her so much. She is so caring and personable. She is funny and so down to earth. No question is silly and she makes you feel really good. I am so happy I ended up with her. She is a God sent. Thank you sooooooo much Dr. Churgin. Lastly the office staff Kathy and Frank. Kathy checked on me the day after surgery. I was unsure of a few things she got back to me with Dr. Churgin right away. She is just a great person as well. She truly cares. Frank as well called and was helpful with any concerns or questions. Overall my experience has been a 10/10. I more than highly recommend Dr. Churgin. I call Dr. Churgin LONG ISLAND'S 'MICHAELANGELA' because of how outstanding her work on me was. She is an angel, truly. I am 26 years old and came to Dr. Churgin for a breast reduction after finding her myself via the internet and reading reviews just like this- wishing to be on the other side as I am now. Truly, every positive review about Dr. Churgin is spot on and I thank God DAILY that I stumbled upon her and made the decision to go to her vs. other plastic surgeons. She is young, fresh, SHARP, so smart and hands on, and truly a master at her work. My breasts were extremely saggy and mishapen and I believed there was no way possible to even get the kind of results I have. Just two weeks post-op and I can't believe how perfect she made my breasts. I went from an EXTREMELY saggy DDD to a PERKY and LIFTED full C. My mind is blown everyday I wake up to this new reality. My family and friends are in shock as well. Let me also say I came to Dr. Churgin with a very tight time crunch to meet due to my insurance being terminated at a specific date, asking if I could do this entire process quickly to be ensure I was covered. I went to Dr. Churgin for my breast reduction and was very happy. She is so intelligent and skilled, and her resume really reflects that. She worked closely with my primary doctor and rheumatologist, and I would describe her as cautious and thorough. I had a hard time finding a surgeon because I was over a 30 BMI, even though I was in really awful pain. Dr. Churgin took me as a patient anyway and worked with me throughout the entire process. My insurance approval came through in less than a week thanks to her office staff, Kathy, doing such a great job on the application. Her mom, Mrs. Churgin, is hilarious and you can tell she really enjoys talking about her daughter's accomplishments, and I found that reassuring. I wouldn't hesitate to go to Dr. Churgin again.

Doctor Churgin is a great doctor and an amazing surgeon. I saw Doctor Churgin in Plainview Hospital emergency room due to a broken nose and laceration on my forehead. Everyone I speak to states they see a difference in the before and after version of my nose. Two months later you can barely notice any scars due to Doctor Churgin's amazing technique. I Jenaya Gathers have been suffering over sized breasts for many years. My back and cervical spine had been giving me excruciating pain at times that I could hardly stand it. My primary care physician, Dr Blachato recommended me to Dr Churgin. I read reviews about Dr Churgin and I couldn't believe the positive reviews her patients had written about Dr Churgin and her staff. Thank God in 2011 I had the opportunity to consult with Dr Churgin. From the moment i had my consultation with her, I was so relieved that I knew my worries were over. Dr Churgin's staff is the most amazing staff a doctor could have. Her administrator, Mrs Churgin, her assistant Kathleen Cummings. Diane Sanpaolo, and Helen Accles are amazing. Dr Churgin and her staff were able to expediusly got an authorization from my insurance company and Dr Churgin was able to do my breast reduction on February 10, 2011. I was shocked when Mrs Churgin and Kathleen Cummings told me that my insurance company were paying my entire anesthesia and hospital bill.insurance 's surgery was totally covered by my insurance company. My surgery did not cost me any out of pocket expense. I have been so thrilled with the results of my surgery. Now I will fast forward to today , February 29 2016 where I find myself back in Dr Churgin's office asking her to consider getting authorization again to make my breasts even smaller. I must reiterate again about Dr Churgin's staff. Today I met a lovely lady by the name of Tara, who made me feel comfortable and did explain to me that she will be working with Mrs Churgin again for the procedure to go thru insurance.
