There are so many things to say about Dr. Hubbard and his staff at Hubbard Plastic surgery. I was completely satisfied with my procedure! As a matter of fact, the results are fabulous! I experienced no pain at all, and even very little discomfort. Dr. Hubbard is personable, considerate, thorough, and always professional. To say this experience exceeded my expectations would be such an understatement. The staff is amazing! Walking in, you are immediately made to feel at home and comfortable. The appointment went so well and at no time did I feel as if I were asking stupid questions. Let's talk patience...I believe my first appointment was easily over an hour long and SO thorough. I left feeling confident in understanding the procedures and never looked back! Two weeks ago I had my surgery and feel amazing, look amazing, and my only regret was not doing it sooner!!!! I had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation from Dr. Hubbard after extreme weight loss. He was honest enough to tell me I didn't need muscle tightening or a lift for my breasts. This saved me a lot of money other plastic surgeons were going to be charging me. He was right also, everything looks great and I recovered faster without the extra work. The staff are all super friendly and you can get appointments quickly and easily. My tummy tuck scar is heeling flat, thin, and so low any tiny panty covers it. Doctor Hubbard produced some of the best results I've seen especially dealing with the amount of excess skin left after losing 157lbs. Highly recommend.

My procedure: Ethnic Rhinoplasty (African-American)My initial concerns: Wide nostril base, lack of tip definition, and asymmetry.(Sorry in advance for the length of this post, but when I was researching this procedure, I appreciated every detail I could find!)I have waited nearly a year after my procedure to write this review. As anyone who's researched rhinoplasty knows, a year is the minimum time to wait for evaluation of this procedure. Before my procedure I consulted with and researched several doctors from the Hampton Roads area all the way to D.C. who claimed to specialize in Ethnic Rhinoplasty. As an aside, let me just say that many of these doctors should not be performing Rhinoplasty at all, let alone Ethnic Rhinoplasty, which depending on the extent of the procedure adds a level of complexity that requires advanced skill.Other doctors (purported 'Ethnic Rhinoplasty' specialists) promised results that I wanted, but wouldn't go into detail about how the results would be achieved, and I felt previous procedures from their portfolio left a lot to be desired. Dr. Hubbard doesn't even bill himself as an Ethnic Rhinoplasty specialist, but he was by far the most knowledgable of the procedure of the doctors I encountered.Dr. Hubbard took my concerns and refined the results above what I requested to achieve an overall aesthetic look (this guy knows noses!). He aims for natural, yet aesthetic results. I was impressed that instead of promising over-the-top, unrealistic results, he let me know straightaway what could and could not be realistically achieved given certain aspects of my birth nose. I was also impressed with how much detail Dr. Hubbard gave me about my procedure and what each part of the procedure would achieve. As a result, my procedure ended up involving an alar base reduction, tip refinement, and bridge augmentation using rib graft. Dr. Hubbard explained that he would like to use a rib graft for my bridge augmentation over ear cartilage (which is not as strong as rib cartilage) or a synthetic implant (which produces unpredictable results). This explanation aligned perfectly with what I had learned through my own research about the different methods of this procedure.I was comforted in knowing that Dr. Hubbard has extensive experience in augmentation using rib grafts, and uses the modern method of dicing the cartilage that prevents graft warping/shifting over time (this was HUGE in my ultimate decision) as opposed to other outdated methods using rib graft.My actual experience with the procedure was great. Throughout the process of my consultations and pre-procedure office visits, I came to learn how meticulous Dr. Hubbard is and how important the tiniest details are to him. My surgery actually took nearly double the expected time, as Dr. Hubbard put in the time to repair my deviated septum to achieve the results I wanted. I appreciated that he didn't settle for 'good enough' and just close me up and send me home because the surgery was taking too long.After the procedure, I had horrible anxiety about my results because I am terribly neurotic and tend to freak out about everything. I questioned each change, each aspect of my healing, and even called Dr. Hubbard on his personal phone over a holiday weekend to ask a question. I was so impressed with how patient Dr. Hubbard was with me for months after the surgery through my anxiety (and through interrupting his holiday!). Now, almost a year later I can say this surgery was worth every penny. I love the results. I love that I still look like me, just a cuter, more beautiful version! ;) I'm also SO happy I took the time to do the research and find the right doctor.

I had surgery with Dr Hubbard for Revision Rhinoplasty in Jan 2015. It took me YEARS to work up the courage to have the procedure done again, as the first time was so disappointing. I knew with the first consult that he was 'the guy.' His compassion, knowledge and PASSION for what he does is par none. Not to mention every person on his staff who takes the time to know you on a personal level. My surgery was challenging. What was supposed to be a 4 hour surgery turned into 6, but Dr Hubbard and staff were not going to finish until they were satisfied, not only with the appearance but the function of my 'new' nose. The results are great. My nose is now straight, compliments my face well, and I can breathe. I am no longer self conscious about the first doctor's 'mistake' in the middle of my face. Dr Hubbard is a skilled technician and an artist. I recommend him highly and am very grateful to have found him and his staff. -sbg

Originally, I found Dr. Thomas Hubbard through his website and his AMAZING before and after photos. I am very slender and was worried about getting breast implants that were too big or fake looking. I scheduled an appointment for a consultation with him and was very impressed with his office and amazing/ friendly staff. I have a family member that went to a high scale Hollywood plastic surgeon and I'll tell you that Dr. Hubbard's facility is much nicer and larger. He was very helpful and answered all of my questions about breast augmentations. The staff was very helpful and welcoming when I was booking the date of surgery. I originally picked a date but had to make sure I would have the time off from work; they held that date that I wanted while I did that. About two weeks before my surgery, I went in for a 'sizing'. The nurses took their time and didn't rush my decision. They also gave me their opinion and person experiences. I made my decision and was a little worried about the size. The next day I blasted the office coordinator with emails because I was unsure and worried that I picked the wrong size. They called me and had me come in again and reassured me of my choice. The day of surgery, I came in at 5am, the nurse prepped me and Dr. Hubbard came in to prep me and talk to me and explain the process. Then the anesthesiologist came in and she was amazing!!! I am not good with needles and this was my first time under anesthesia so I was nervous. That woman was so good, I hardly had a bruise the next day and was super gentle, I told her she could give me shots any time. Haha. After surgery, I don't remember too much. I wasn't in a lot of pain like I thought I would be. Later that night, I was resting, Dr. Hubbard called my caregiver/dad at 9pm on a Friday night to check on me! I had check ups and everything but all I can say is that I ABOSOLUTY LOVE WHAT DR HUBBARD AND HIS STAFF HAS DONE FOR ME!!! They were so caring and I am completely 100% happy with my result. He managed to take me from a small A cup to a pretty and natural looking C cup. They are perfect and not too big. Exactly what I wanted. Dr. Hubbard and his team more than exceeded my expectations with his facility and his skills. Best cosmetic surgeon in the country if you ask me!
