I dont mind following the rules of wearing a masks and being tested at the door upon entrance, however, I do find it very upsetting that I am being forced to give out my name and the reasons of why Im in the facility. I do not have to do that at any other hospital facilities. They check me upon entrance and Im comfortable that I dont have to reveal to the whole public my name and the reason why Im there. I am not comfortable at this hospital. One out of five staff is pleasant to see at this facility.

Very little wait for the Emergency department but the Dr's are dismissive and disinterested. Lab/Imaging is a farce. Pre op imaging took 2 hours since the machine kept shutting down and no one seemed to know how to fix it or reboot it. Nurses are great here, but Dr's could use some improvement and retraining on what 'bedside manner' truly means.

I am sorry for being so slow doing this review! My event started with a ride in the ambulance. One of the guys said he didnt know what was wrong and the other guy responded with I think she is faking it. It got better from there! The people in the Er were great. I was admitted to the hospital and spent 11 days there. Dr. Sheffle did surgery on my knee. I had cut it rafting in the river and then it was infected by the dirty water. Dr. Sheffle, the doctor of infectious diseases from St Marys and Dr Kline were all amazing. The nurses were exceptional and so kind and helpful. I couldnt have ask for better care. Im going to have another surgery soon and it will be in Fruita.

I showed up having a hard time catching my breath. I had to history to backup what my gut was telling me was wrong, but they put me in a room immediately. 0 wait.The started me on a breathing treatment while checking my heart and lungs. The doctor answered my cell phone to talk to my mom -- after asking my permission of course. The nurses and technicians were amazing.I'll take this small town hospital over the 'big city' any day.Of course I have not seen the bill yet :-)

I had heard bad things about this place but ignored them. I shouldn't have. Not only do they charge a staggering amount for their services, don't expect any personalized help with payment options. I made a $22 payment, and I was charged the balance instead--over $6,700--on a high interest card. No one there noticed any discrepancy, including the person I was working with to get payments and payoff arranged. Worse yet, it didn't show up on my app, so I only found out when I opened the account from the desktop two months later. I incurred over $300 in interest alone. Keep in mind I offered to pay as much as I could on a new card, which I opened specifically to make big payments on this bill, but the person and I from billing hadn't connected after our first failed attempt. He must have saw it paid off and just blew me off. If they had any class, they'd take that payment off and make other arrangements. Keep in mind, I have decent insurance, and it still was a mountain of money charged from a lot of different providers. Only one would accept a lien from my lawyer for a settlement.UPDATE SUMMER 2019: You'll see they offered an advocate. I called and left messages. They were ignored. I called the person I was working, with, and I called the patient advocate line. Neither responded.

My experience here was different...the EMTs were amazing!! They actually took care of me instead of the nurse.. The ER doctor wasnt so good I didnt get his name but he was over being at work.. Came off as if he really needs to retire.. My daughter was sitting on the bed with me and he told her to move??? Because she wasnt the patient?? No one else had a problem with this except him? I am pregnant and he was wrong about EVERYTHING!!! Measurements, meds, dates, the list is long I had 3 different staff members correct him when he wasnt around.. I find it very scary as this man is the ER doctor?? Lucky a female came in to replace him and she was amazing!! If I delt with this doctor first than I would give 5 stars but that Er doctor made so many mistakes it was shocking.. Im in the medical field as well...and from experience doctors like this man.. end up killing someone..or more than one person... no one will even know.. they will have him resigned so no bad publicity is showed upon the hospital... seen the same thing happen to a RN in Durango...like I said the EMTs took care of me the most... the woman who did my ultrasound was very kind as well.. I thought my baby was dead... she showed me quickly my baby was alive...I also want to point out that who ever the owner is... Shame on you for only responding to the people who give your facility a 5 star rating... that shows ALOT in what type of facility this is..Ive only seen the owner respond to one review.. the rest were ignored..

I had a bad fall and was treated at the emergency room and the staff was excellent. The nurses and doctor were great and the facility was well equipped. They did a CT on site and I cannot compliment everyone I dealt with enough.This is a wonderful resource with good capabilities in a small package.

I've been sick for the last several years and have been in and out of the hospital many times Colorado Canyons hospital is by far the best hospital Rehabilitation Center that I have ever been to the nurses & doctors are very professional and intentive to your personal needs they have helped me recover my health and head down a positive Road this is the best I've felt in many years I would recommend this place to family or friends I just want to say thanks to the faculty at Colorado Canyons Hospital and the food's not too bad either

We were very happy with my husbands experience at Colorado Canyons Hospital & Medical Center. He had no wait. The nurses, Radiology techs and Doctor Kupics were amazing. Hopefully we will not need to go to ER again, but if we do, It will be Colorado Canyon Hospital & Medical Center as a first choice!

I just got back home from an ER visit with my Mom who was having pain/swelling in her left lower extremity. I took her to the Fruita ER (Colorado Canyons) - from the minute we walked into the door the customer service was excellent. They were immediately able to get my Mom in a room and work her up. Justin and Jessica (nurses) were fantastic. Dr. Mensing was the ER physician that night and took excellent care of my Mom (she also has a good bedside manner). She was ultimately diagnosed with a small DVT and sent home with Lovenox injections. The care was efficient but at the same time spot on and amazing. I cannot recommend this ER enough and am so grateful for the care my Mom received here.

After the insistence of my children to try Colorado Canyons Hospital & Medical Center, I immediately knew I was receiving the best care I have ever received in my 40 years of living in the Grand Valley. Because the team of doctors, nurses and therapists communicated so well with not only each other, but with myself and family, my healing process accelerated and surpassed all expectations. I was so impressed with how well everyone worked together, they knew all about my care and needs.

Small community hospital ,they have surgical staff for plastics and ortho not sure who else has rights. The suites are nice and clean and the staff is nice. The ER is efficient and careing.

Do not go to the emergency room here! I am a young adult who just got diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a month ago. I was experiencing chest pains and went to the ER here (chest pains aren't something to mess around with). Only the tech was nice. The doctors were extremely rude and did not even introduce themselves. The first thing the first doctor said was 'I hear you're dying from chest pains' Then further in he asked if I got pregnant if I would keep it!!! What kind of bedside manner is that!? The second doctor yelled at my mom when she simply asked if they could take out the IV start in my arm since we already knew I was going to be discharged and had been waiting for hours. I would not suggest this place at all, very rude!

By far the best hospital I've had to go to. Super fast, clean, very friendly and helpful staff. I tried going to one in hollywood to get my stitches removed and waited 3.5 hours before I gave up and decided to go back here where I had the stitches put in 2 weeks ago. Just happened to be driving thru to Denver so it was on my way. In and out in less than 45 minutes. I LOVE THIS HOSPITAL!

Worst hospital experience, first time ever being seen, fresh ,2nd degree burns paralyzed from the wounds and pain was wrapped and told take ibprophen,and pain is a part of life how incompassiante . Called the ER to get the Drs name to make a formal complaint and was lied to. This old dike looking lady should be stripped of her medical license has no business being in the medical field . Especially practicing medicine. I've been hit but a drunk driver and shot in my cranium and this hag wants to talk to me about pain, I wish I could've turned the tables. Discusting people like this are able to be in control of your health. Wouldn't even give me the benefit of the doubt. Obviously didn't take her non hiparcatical oath seriously should be fired complete stupidity please go somewhere else or you could die with this kind of idiotic care

First of all, you people are the most incompetent people I have ever met. Your doctor came in and turned my father's oxygen and then are stunned when his oxygen bottoms out! Thanks so much for your horrible medical care.
