In early 2019 I received results of genetic testing that confirmed that I am a carrier of the BRCA1 gene, therefore putting me at very high risk of breast cancer. In July on 2019 I underwent a double mastectomy and breast reconstruction. Dr. Fisher really listened to what was important to me about my reconstruction and gave me a CHOICE. She was my partner throughout this difficult journey. I had my revision surgery in December of 2019 and I kid you not to the naked eye youd never know I had a mastectomy. She is truly an artist and sees every individual as their own puzzle. Im very grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Dr. Fisher and cant recommend her enough.

I am absolutely satisfied with my results, when Laura first let me look in the mirror, I was likeOMG Im fifteen years old again ( Im 69 ). Dr Fisher is an excellent physician, she is caring and shows that she really cares for the best care she can give you. I was a little nervous but she explained the procedure and made me feel very at ease. She said I would feel some pain on the third day after surgery, but Im like what pain? I had the extreme good fortune to meet Dr. Fisher after I was diagnosed with the BRCA2 gene mutation, which significantly increases the likelihood of developing breast cancer. I interviewed multiple plastic surgeons before making the decision to proceed with a double mastectomy and reconstruction with Dr. Fisher. I had the pleasure of meeting Ms.Sandy Lanier some years ago and I instantly fell in love with her. I went in for Varicose vein treatment and was very nervous. When I was referred to her by a friend and another patient of hers, I had medical issues concerning my breasts. My initial concern had begun when I found a lump in one of my breasts. It is with great pleasure that I get to review Dr. Fisher and her staff, AGAIN! Being a 3x cosmetic surgery patient, some may think I have some sort of plastic surgery addiction, but that is not the case. Rather I, like many women, noticed parts of my body that I wanted to improve for myself and myself only, and Dr. Fisher did just that. She listened to my concerns and delivered the results that I asked for: to still look like myself, only better. I can go on and on about how great of a surgeon she is, but that is just one part of the process. Appointments were never rushed and Dr. Fisher always made sure to check up on me emotionally as well, which as a mental-health nurse I highly value. How she can connect to the many clients she sees I will never know, but I can tell that it is one of many qualities that set her above the rest.I could not end this review without saying something about all the staff that I interacted with. I saw Dr. Fishers nurse practitioner Crystal for a post-op appointment and she was just as compassionate as Dr. Fisher. She was attentive and listened to my concern about one of my incisions that turned out to be nothing other than me overreacting, but she was very reassuring and explained all options if I were to have a complication. Claire and Danielle were always friendly both on the phone and in person, and they always got back to my questions promptly. Julie was very welcoming during all my appointments, and I think its so cool that she is not only a breast cancer survivor but also a former patient of Dr. Fisher! Overall, I fully trust Dr. Fisher and her staff with my body and if I ever feel the need to be a 4x patient, I will be running back to her office and her office only!

In January of 2017 I was referred to Dr. Fisher after finding out I was in the high risk category for breast cancer. My stomach was in knots going into the appointment. From the moment I walked in I felt at ease. Her waiting room is warm and inviting, smelled like relaxing lavender, and her staff is gentle, kind and caring. When I met Dr. Fisher I knew I was going to choose her because her bedside manner is not only compassionate and kind, but she has the confidence I needed in a surgeon. I mean, dont we all want our surgeon to be a bad ass in the OR? The day of surgery, she came in, gave me a hug, and said, Im going to take care of you like I would my family member. And she did. Her staffeveryone from Crystal her NP, Claire her Patient care coordinator, Brandi her scheduler, and everyone else (they just had the biggest part in my care) has the ability of making you feel as if you are their only patients. When I was in the hospital post op, during my recovery, and during my last step of surgery, I always felt cared for. I recommend Dr. Fisher more than I can put into words properly & I cant say enough great things about her. She will laugh with you, communicate with you, and most of allshe will care for you. I am a breast cancer survivor and needed to get a deflated implant replaced. When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer 18 yrs ago (in my 30's), I was in total shock. I didn't take any time to research anything, I selected doctors that I was referred to. I never thought I'd need plastic surgery...until I did. Breast cancer caused problems after the lumpectomy which required breast reconstruction to fix. Then, the radiated tissue caused more problems that needed to be addressed. It's not easy having survived cancer to then have to have two additional surgeries. Dr. Christine Fisher was recommended by my oncologist and she is a gift from God!From the very first consultation, Dr. Fisher (and her staff) made me feel comfortable and like I was her most important patient. She took time to go over every aspect of my condition and situation, what needed to be done, what would be done, how she would do it, and the outcome. She drew it on a board so I could understand and she answered every question. Before the surgery, I sent emails with questions which were all answered that day or first thing in the morning, or they would call. The staff is always courteous and caring. They are all sensitive to what you go through and they treat you with respect. They have worked with so many cancer patients and they want to help make things better and go as smoothly as they can. When another surgery was needed, I thought everyone in the office would cry as they felt so bad I had to go through it again. They are loving and kind, but also extremely thorough! Dr. Fisher doesn't accept anything but the best from herself, her staff, and the hospital where she conducts her surgeries. I like that! She's straight-forward and doesn't talk in circles but tells it like it is. If you don't understand it, she will work to explain things until you do. You can see it in her eyes that she really CARES about you and your entire well-being, not just the area she's working on. I could go on and on with praise for Dr. Fisher and her team! I recently made the decision to have the Halo by Sciton procedure, a breakthrough laser treatment that combines two types of lasers to create major angel-skin results with minimal downtime, at Dr. Fishers office. My 50+ year old face was aging and I noticed my pore size becoming exaggerated and all the cute freckles Id had all these years transforming into larger areas of sun damage, fine lines and slackening. When I was referred to Dr. Christine Fisher by a plastic surgeon friend, I was doubtful I could ever feel normal again. I had breast cancer with bilateral mastectomies, tissue expanders, then reconstruction with silicone implants. The implants never looked natural and the scarring was significant. I just assumed I would always look scarred and I felt that way on the inside, too.The first time I saw Dr. Fisher was for complications with my implant. The minute I walked into her office, i felt welcomed and cared for. Every staff member was kind and professional. Dr. Fisher was so encouraging. She assured me that all this could be made better; both aesthetically, physically and emotionally. I had discounted my feelings of being less than natural looking for so long. Dr. Fisher assured me that when all was said and done, I would feel better and look better. Her professionalism, kindness and desire for perfection has gotten me there. I look much more natural and I feel cared for. I had the DIEP Procedure on September 25th. I have recovered well with frequent visits for reassurance and care. Dr. Fisher performed a new surgery called a PAP flap with nipple sparing. The PAP Flap is based on the profunda artery perforator and utilizes the tissue of the posterior thigh and under the buttocks. The results were INCREDIBLE. She is not only an amazing surgeon but she has an amazing bedside manner and takes whatever time needed to discuss and look at every possible option thats best for you. She has a talent for what she does, and the experience and perspective I wanted as a patient. Everyone in the office is kind, experienced, friendly and professional. The office environment is clean, comfortable and attractive. Overall just great.

Dr. Fisher, her NP Crystal and the entire staff are professional, caring and everything you would ever want in a healthcare team. I called to make an appointment to meet Dr. Fisher to discuss my mastectomy and my options, and the moment I spoke to Claire on the phone I knew that this would be the right choice for me. She was so kind and reassuring, I just knew that I would be ok here. Being a nurse and having to be a patient is difficult, but Dr. Fisher was thorough and calming with just the right amount of confidence that I knew she would do an amazing job. I have 2 other friends who needed mastectomies around the same time and they too loved her and their results. She is meticulous and wants to make sure that the results are the best they could possibly be, especially for everything else you have to endure during breast cancer, this she wants to get right. Now after having the DIEP Flap procedure, I am extremely happy with the results and I am only 4 weeks out with some healing left to do. I will have to have a revision later so I know it will be even better when all is said and done. I can't wait to see the end result. So I highly recommend Dr. Fisher and her team, especially if you are going through your breast cancer journey and need their great care and comfort at this time.

There's nothing I can say about Dr. Christine Fisher that hasn't been truthfully said hundreds of times across the internet. Her surgical skill in breast reconstruction is truly on the level of being a gifted artist. There's just no other way to describe it. Her compassion, care and personal investment into her patients is unlike anything I have encountered in any profession anywhere. Her office is a bright uplifting place and the staff is super courteous with flawless follow up. These are the tangible facts, now let me tell you what Dr. Fisher means to me.I am writing this review as the husband of a woman diagnosed with Stage IIB Invasive Ductile Carcinoma of the Breast. My wife, two small children and I had moved to Austin from California only a couple of months earlier pursuing incredible dream jobs, a new house and all the excitement that brings. Life was absolutely wonderful until the diagnosis and the range of emotions with the tears that follow. Many of you know first hand what I mean.I am convinced that Dr. Fisher's thoughtful and compassionate care was a major factor in the way my wife was able to cope and maintain her morale to make it through the initial reconstruction assessment, the double mastectomy at which time Dr. Fisher placed tissue expanders, a hysterectomy, a lengthy chemo regimen and finally the reconstruction.Because Dr. Fisher had placed tissue expansion devices immediately after the general surgeon had completed the double mastectomy my wife had to see Dr. Fisher through out the entire months long road to reconstruction surgery for monitoring and adjustment. This was an unknown blessing at the time.My wife really dreaded all other medical appointments, the follow up visits, the labs, the chemo....but not when it came to Dr. Fisher. When it was time for me to take her for her appointments she was always upbeat and looking forward to her appointments. For that one day every three weeks or so, life seemed normal again.Dr. Fisher has a way of instilling confidence and a true belief that all would be well, that there would come a point when all of this would be over and all would be well. I am happy to report that almost two years later my wife is healthy with a clean bill of health and looks absolutely fantastic. Life is good again and I am convinced that Dr. Fisher was a big part of my wife's positive recovery. To some degree she even helped me in being able to smile a little watching my wife having hope during those trying times.Without any reservation of any kind, I wholeheartedly can recommend Dr. Christine Fisher.

Dr. Fisher did a DIEP (Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator Flap) procedure to reconstruct my breasts after a bilateral mastectomy for breast cancer. She was recommended to me by my general surgeon who took great care of me, and I found his recommendation was gold. She is empathetic, genuine and very caring to me and my family. She carried my through the challenging process of restoring my breasts and even the tattooing to make them look more real. She encouraged and guided me every inch of the way. Her medical care was meticulous. The DIEP procedure requires hours of micro-surgery to restore the blood vessels for the transplanted tissues. I did not have a single vessel fail. She monitored me for 4 days to be sure I would be ok, and even fixed my glasses for me when they broke while I was in hospital.She is a lovely, caring lady who is a wonderful doctor and an artist who takes great pride in her work. I highly recommend Christine Fisher, M.D. to anyone who requires reconstruction or plastic surgery.
