I was bothered by my image in the mirror of sagging eye lids, jawline and neck. It did not match my self-image of a younger me. I chose Dr. Flugstad to perform plastic surgery on my eyelids, face and neck because of advanced training, certifications, and positive reviews and photos of his patients. I am so happy. The results exceeded my request for a natural younger appearance of my 30s. My appearance matches how I looked 50 years ago when I was 20! I often get compliments; friends and co-workers accept my stories of working out at the Y and primal fat burning diet. Dr. Flugstad is a highly skilled plastic surgeon with priority on patient safety, an artist, and a kind man who delivers the highest customer service. I especially appreciated the entire medical teams focus on safety when they quickly responded to my apparent serious negative reaction to anesthesia. At several follow up visits, Dr. Flugstad and his entire staff reassured me as they addressed my concerns with kindness, patience and attention to detail. I feel grateful and so happy I chose Dr. Flugstad. My experience and the results exceeded my expectations. It was well worth the hour-long drives to his state-of-the-art surgery center with top notch staff.

Highly highly highly recommend! For almost the past decade I had been contemplating 360 liposuction, but was too nervous to pull the trigger. Through RealSelf I discovered Dr. Flugstad and after a little digging realized he was the only one I trusted with this procedure. He was very reassuring from the moment I met him and worked with me every step of the way to guarantee the results I was looking for. The surgery team was wonderful as well, making sure I was relaxed throughout the process. After it was completed, I was shocked to discover I had NO bruising whatsoever and was off all painkillers except Tylenol/Advil within 36 hrs. As far as the final results go, I could not be more happy with how everything turned out; as cliche as it is I finally feel comfortable in my own skin and it has made me a much happier person overall. Every friend who asks about surgery I immediately send in his direction, and one of them just finished a consult with him herself due to how amazing his results had been with me. Once again, I could not recommend him more!

An excellent experience In my opinion, if youre contemplating cosmetic surgery, youre seeking three things: science, art and follow-up care. The science = good medicine. You want a doctor who gives good advice, sets realistic expectations, makes sure that you are medically ready the procedure, and assures that the operation is performed in top-drawer facilities with an excellent anesthesiologist.The art requires the surgeon to visualize, in three dimensions, how surgery will affect your overall body shape. Dr. Flugstad did my breast reduction surgery. I was very concerned about my breasts not being too small for my body and discussed that with him. He told me my breasts would be a full B or a small C after the surgery. When it was over I was surprised to learn that he removed 4 pounds of breast tissue. When I asked him why he took so much, he related the requirement by the insurance company that he take a certain amount of breast tissue for my procedure to be covered. I was concerned that he took too much, but he dismissed my concerns. Additionally, he left a large, pointed, flap of skin on my ribcage. When I called the deformity to his attention, he called it a 'dog ear' and offered to remove the large piece of flesh in his office. My breasts do not fill an A cup. I am completely disproportionate and I can't find clothes to fit me because my chest is nearly concave. I was recently asked by a Breast Cancer patient if I had a double mastectomy. The answer is yes. My breasts have been removed. I have no nipples in spite of the skin graft being successful. I don't believe Dr. Flugstad had any interest in the aesthetic outcome of my surgery. Clearly, his concern was being paid and not for my concerns about proportion. I am afraid to be further mutilated by having him remove the 'dog ear' he left on my body.

Doctor goo. Beware of office staff. No empathy for cancer patients.We ultimately do not control which accounts go to collections. Please understand that this is written in our financial policies, and is enforced only to ensure that we can continue to care for many more folks who need reconstructive procedures. If patients do not pa their 'out of pocket' balances, which are part of our contracted fee schedules from insurance companies, we could afford to stay in business.

I could not have had a better experience with Dr. Flugstad and his team! They were top-notch from consultation all the way through after care and follow-up. The care and detail he took into letting me know how the process would go beforehand and what I was experiencing in recovery afterwards made me comfortable through the uncomfortable. The operation he performed was extremely large in scope and difficult in task, and he executed perfectly. My scarring looks amazing and is so much better than any other end result for the same operation from other surgeons. I would recommend Dr. Flugstad and his team for any and all needs and I am extremely grateful for their care along the way.

Dr. Nicholas Flugstad is without doubt one of the best plastic surgeons who goes beyond expectations. He is highly skilled, professional, and supportive. After a double mastectomy and due to the type of treatments that I had received in the past, I had to have a flap reconstruction surgery. It is a long surgery that requires use of a microscope to connect the tiny vessels and as far as I know most plastic surgeons do not perform it because of the complexity of these surgeries. Dr. Flugstad walked me through that and the result is fantastic. I couldn't expect anything more. He is always there for his patients even on a weekend or late night he answers their emails. He also has very caring office staff.

I had brest cancer in 1991 and Dr. Leff did my reconstruction. Nearly 25 years later, I needed some repair work as my implant failed and I had an empty bag which had to be removed. Dr. Flugstad did the most marvelous work to make me whole again. I've never looked better and he is a real artist taking time to be sure everything is perfect. In addition, his caring manner and the excellent office staff leaves nothing out in making a person feel very special. Do yourself a favor and visit him. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. I'm just delighted with this loving care!! Dr. Nick Flugstad and his entire staff were incredible during my care, and made me feel comfortable every step of the way. I had a post-birth hernia repaired along with an abdomnioplasty. I am SO happy with the results and there were no complications whatsoever. They answered all of my questions, gave me a really good, honest indicator of what I could expect, great post surgery care, and even now are available quickly for email or phone questions. I love his entire staff and can't recommend them highly enough! Dr. Flugstad is very kind and gentle with injections. There are a lot of 'groupons' out there for fillers and Botox, but I'm very happy knowing a skilled plastic surgeon was doing my injections. All my questions were answered and he didn't up sell any services. As a matter of fact he discouraged some service I thought I was interested in. I will be seeing Dr Flugstad again.

I posted earlier a rather mean review of Dr. Flugstad but wth hindsight being 20/20 and all that I felt I should remove the previous review. I originally posted that Dr. Flugstad had lied to me and was trying to tell my other doctor's how to care for me, but after researching the situation further and speaking with other's involved Dr. Flugstad had done nothing wrong. Unfortunately he got caught up in the middle of miscommunications and poor treatment from others and at the time I felt he was the one to blame. He was not. I am sttill waiting for all of my swelling to go down from my surgery so I can't give a full 5 stars just yet, but his care and respect for his patients is well above average.
